Each fall, MSMV kicks off our Annual Campaign. The campaign is one of our school’s primary methods of fundraising.

Why collect donations?

Children are the center of our Montessori environment. Tuition alone does not cover the costs of providing our unique, peaceful, and successful educational program. MSMV also strives to keep tuition low, so that we may reach all children of our socio-economically diverse population here in the Mahoning Valley.

Where do funds go?

Annual Campaign donations touch every part of the school. Donations are unrestricted, and can be used throughout the school year for anything from Montessori classroom materials, to staff development, to playground equipment or even field trips—anything that supports the educational programs we offer the Valley’s children.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes! Our school is a non-profit organization that qualifies as a charitable educational organization under the IRS section 501(c)(3).

Who donates?

Parents, immediate families, extended families, alumni, community members – anyone is welcome to donate at any time during the campaign. MSMV even holds a ‘fill the bottle’ coin drive, so that students can participate as well. Any amount is appreciated; your gift should be meaningful to you and your family.

Do current families participate?

Community is an important aspect of Montessori life, and our Parent Cooperative is an integral part of that community. During our Annual Campaign, MSMV strives not only to increase our outside donor base each year, but also for 100% Parent Cooperative participation. This demonstration of community benefits our students in many ways – not just monetarily.

How can I donate?
